We are seeking an experienced and proactive Mortgage Adviser to join our team. A Mortgage Adviser at Lighthouse Mortgages helps new and existing clients achieve their goals by delivering outstanding advice and an exceptional end-to-end experience, from first contact through settlement and long-term reviews. This is a sales and service role with a strong focus on compliant, client-first outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• • Generating and converting new leads
  • Brand ambassador for the Lighthouse Group
  • Actively identifying and acting on cross-referral opportunities within the LHFS group
  • Servicing an existing client base
  • Interviewing customers to understand their lending needs.
  • Research and recommend lending strategies that will deliver the best outcome to the customer.
  • Prepare client applications as per New Zealand Banking guidelines and Responsible Lending Code.
  • Work with relevant banks and lenders to obtain approval and negotiate best possible terms and conditions.
  • Recommend suitable lending products to the customer and assist them all the way to the settlement.
  • Update customer at regular intervals about the progress of their case.
  • Maintaining long-term & effective relationships with customers & lending institutions.
  • Perform annual reviews for customers.

Mortgage Advisers at LHM can receive quarterly bonuses once they hit their commission “high water mark” while meeting their compliance requirements.

Skills & Qualifications

• • NZCFS Level 5 certificate, including the Residential Property Lending strand and FSPR
  • Proven success in mortgage/advice or related banking roles.
  • Strong credit understanding, attention to detail, and negotiation ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
