We work with all the leading insurance companies in New Zealand for life insurance and health insurance. Each provider has different features/benefits and pricing depending on the levels of cover, gender and age.
There are two stages to insurance - you want the insurance and the insurance company wants you. It is rare that someone has no exclusions or loadings on their insurance as most have had some health issues in their life - however big or small. Your Insurance Adviser will help you complete your insurance application to ensure the provider has all the information they need. They will also help you get the best insurance terms possible.

Unfortunately, no. ACC only covers accidents. It offers zero protection if you suffer from a serious illness (like cancer or a stroke) or a mental health condition. Income Protection is your essential safety net for the 80% of long-term absences that are illness-related.
Generally, yes. It depends on your policy. If you have indemnity protection orkey person cover it is likely tax dedictuable. Book a time to meet and we can review it quickly.
While many people use it to "skip the queue" for surgery, it can be much broader. Depending on your budget, it can cover specialist consultations, expensive diagnostic tests (like MRIs), and non-pharmac funded drugs that the public system doesn't provide.
In many situations we can get cover. A pre-existing condition doesn't mean you're uninsurable; it just means we need to negotiate. We work with all major NZ insurers (AIA, Partners Life, nib, etc.) to find a provider who will offer the fairest terms or a manageable exclusion.
