Are you ready to take your finance career to new heights? We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Credit Writer to join our team.

As a Senior Credit Writer at Lighthouse Mortgages, you will be responsible for assisting Mortgage Advisers in the preparation of our clients’ home loan applications.

The right person for the role will have excellent people skills, a solid understanding of home lending and a sharp attention to detail.

There is strong potential for advancement for the right candidate in this fast-growing business, and Lighthouse Mortgages will support training and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

    • Working with advisors to prepare and submit applications to lenders
    • Ability to grasp the adviser’s instructions and the client’s requests
    • Keeping clients and other external stakeholders updated about the status of applications
    • Manage pricing requests for new and existing home loans
    • Managing the fix rate rollover process for advisers.
    • Document collection and review
    • Data entry across multiple systems


About you

    • Ideally, you would be working with a bank or a mortgage adviser assessing lending
    • A background in processing mortgages and home lending is essential
    • Possess basic credit decision-making and bank lending policy knowledge
    • Knowledge of Pipedrive and Trail, or, experience in maintaining customer records across multiple systems
    • Either working towards NZ Certificate in financial services or willing to pursue the course
    • Legally entitled to work in New Zealand
