How much does it cost to work with a Mortgage Adviser?
We are paid by the lenders so there is no costing with working with us (most of the time). If there is any occasion where we do need to charge a fee, you will be told upfront so you can decide on if you want to proceed or not.
What can I expect in our first meeting?
Once you book in your first meeting with one of our mortgage advisers, we'll send you a fact find to complete. This saves about 20 minutes in our meeting. You'll also tell us your goals and send us any documents required - we'll let you know what we need from you (also saving you time in the long run). We're going to use that meeting to see if there's anything the banks might pick up on before we send in your application.
What happens after our first meeting?
Your mortgage adviser will run your numbers through our calculators. This is to see which bank is right for you. Once we've agreed on a lender, we will submit your mortgage application. Some banks are slow. It can take up to 10 days to get your application approved (sometimes even longer). There can be a bit of back and forth but we're here every step of the way.
Can I go directly to the bank?
Of course you can go to the bank directly, however they can only advise on their products. Bankers are also not registered financial advisers and can't help you make changes to your situation to help you borrow more.
We have relationships with many bank and non bank lenders, this means we can get the right solution for the right situation.
